Apple Cinnamon Brunch Bake with Apple Vinegar Caramel Drizzle
Ingredients
For the Bake
- 1 loaf brioche or challah bread, cubed
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 apples, diced
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
For the Apple Vinegar Caramel Drizzle
- 3 tbsp Bellindora Apple Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp butter
- Pinch of cinnamon
Garnish
- Toasted pecans
- Thin apple slices
- Powdered sugar (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter and sauté diced apples with ¼ cup brown sugar until softened and lightly caramelized.
- Place bread cubes and apples in a greased baking dish.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour over the bread mixture.
- Let sit for 10–15 minutes so the bread absorbs the custard.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and set.
- While baking, combine vinegar, honey, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon in a small saucepan. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Drizzle the warm sauce over the baked casserole.
- Top with toasted pecans, fresh apple slices, and a light dusting of powdered sugar.
